Lead Story
Mysterious Parcel Travels the Whole River
A small brown parcel with no proper address has sent Riverpost’s postman from one landing to the next.
Marlowe Quickpaw began his morning route with an unusual delivery tucked beneath the ordinary letters. The parcel bore no name, only a careful drawing of three reeds beside a crooked stone.
By noon, half the town had offered an opinion. Wrenna believes the mark points upriver. Barlow insists he has seen it before. Marlowe has placed the parcel safely in his mailbag and promised to follow every clue.
Wrenna Reports
Lantern Light Beyond the Reeds
Wrenna Reed reports an unfamiliar light near the far bend, seen twice just before dusk. River travelers are asked to keep a sharp eye on the eastern bank.

Willow Inn Sets the Long Table
Neighbors are bringing bowls, benches, and their best stories to the inn this Friday evening. Mrs. Willow promises there will be room for one more.
Post Office Notices
Three Parcels Await Their Owners
A round parcel tied in blue cord, a seed catalogue, and one letter addressed only to “the house beside the singing reeds” remain behind Marlowe’s counter.
River Conditions
High Water at the Silverbend
The river is running a little high after two nights of rain. Small boats should keep to the marked channel until the driftwood clears.
Lost & Found
One Red Mitten, Slightly Damp
Found beneath the west landing bench. Also missing: a brass thimble, a jar of plum preserves, and someone’s very patient umbrella.
